Welcome to Prince Edward Island!
This is an historic time to visit our Island. 2017 is the 150th anniversary of Canada and our year-long celebrations will highlight the important role our province played in the formation of our country.
Prince Edward Island is known as Canada’s Food Island because we are a destination for food lovers from around the globe. Combine that with our beautiful beaches, unique culture, and welcoming residents, and it’s easy to see why our Island has been named among the world’s top tourist destinations,
We are also the home of Anne of Green Gables, a character created by our most famous author Lucy Maud Montgomery.
China and Prince Edward Island continue to have a very special relationship. Not only is China among Prince Edward Island’s largest trading partners, but we have been a tourism destination for the Chinese community for many years. In 2016, the province saw an over 1,700 visitors from China and we hope to increase that number.
We are Canada’s smallest province, but we will surprise you with what we have to offer. Whether it’s a day at the beach, an evening at the theater, or the best seafood you’ve ever tasted, the memories you make last longer on Prince Edward Island.
